Simple Pleasures – Level 85 Main Scenario Quest Unfortunately, that’s the same spot gated by the Main Scenario Quest, so wait a little while before trying to find your way down. Some of its Aether Compass directions can be a little confusing, as the device will try to lead you down into a swampy area early on. Aether Currents here aren’t hard to find but zoom in carefully when moving between teleports, as some of the locations require you to use an elevator until you’re able to fly. You’ll enter Labyrinthos early on during FF14 Endwalker’s Main Scenario questline, but it’ll be one of the last areas you can unlock flying in with its level 88 quest requirement. And just in case you missed it-yes, Square Enix did move your Aether Compass location. The big blue markers denote quest locations on your map, and you can use your Aether Compass to find those hidden points for attuning.
Labyrinthos, Thavnair, Garlemald, Mare Lamentorum, Elpis, and Ultima Thule all require you to find and attune to ten Aether Currents and complete five quests. These Aether Currents will help complete your Sightseeing Log, as will our Sightseeing Log locations guide. To unlock flying in every zone, you’ll need to complete your collection of Aether Currents by progressing the Main Scenario, accepting tasks from NPCs, and finding stray currents scattered throughout the map. Once again, Final Fantasy XIV will have you take to the skies with its new Endwalker expansion.
